In contrast to the RGB color space which defines the color by its red, green and blue fraction the basis of the HSV color space is hue, saturation and value.

Hue is an angle. H=0°=red. H=120°=green. H=240°=blue.
Saturation S is given in percent. 0%=grey. 100%=pure color.
Value V is given in percent. 0% no brightness. 100% full brightness.
